Having graduated from the Louisiana State University in 1995 with a Master of Social Work degree, Jacqueline “Jackie” Schott began her career working with families in crisis, providing in-home family therapy. Over the next 30 years, she provided individual, couples' and family and group therapy to clients in outpatient and inpatient settings. She worked with adults, adolescents, children and families, addressing issues that included trauma, behavior disorders, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, impaired social skills and family conflict.

In addition to her mental health experience, Jackie has worked extensively with victims of crime, including children who suffered serious abuse and neglect. She provided therapy to adult and child victims of physical and sexual abuse, attending specialized forensic training to assist victims of domestic violence and child abuse. She has also provided written documentation to courts and appeared as a witness in legal cases.

Over the course of her career, Jackie has worked with clients in various mental health treatment settings. She has completed specialized training in the areas of EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples’ and Family Therapy, Mindfulness Based Play Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Applied Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Informed Therapy and Screen Addiction Treatment for adults and teens. She holds active LCSW licenses in the States of Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia.

Jackie has also worked alongside many psychiatrists and collateral agencies, ensuring the continuity of care of her clients. She has worked with clients in private practice since 2007.
